Demonstration Details
Please join the peaceful rally in Downtown Toronto to stand in solidarity with our families, brothers and sisters in Egypt. As many of you know, Egypt is in a state of turmoil and now, more than ever, we must come together as One to show our support to all those who are fighting for freedom and to pay our respect to hundreds of lives already lost. While Egypt may not be "home" for many of you, I pray and ask that you find it in your heart to feel for our fellow human beings.
Here in Canada we live in an environment where our voices matter and our rights are respected. Let us not turn a blind eye to those who live in countries where that is not the case. PLEASE, for the sake of humanity, choose not to stand by in silence.
We will meet at Queens Park at 1 pm. This is an opportunity to show those fighting for freedom that our hearts are with them.
